Description: The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is requesting sealed proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to do interior and exterior restorations and repairs at its Eagle Tavern Museum and log cabin located at 26 North Main Street, Watkinsville, Georgia 30677. The museum is circa 1800, with wooden window frames and siding. This project includes, but is not limited to, various repair work and fresh paint to all previously painted areas at the museum and repairs to the wooden carriage house doors and the replacement of a decayed log between the doors at the log cabin. Both facilities are period appropriate in appearance and structure and the restoration and repairs should match the existing structures as much as possible. Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 8/10/2017 9:00 AM

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A MANDATORY pre-submittal meeting will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Commission Chambers, Suite 205. All interested parties are required to attend. The purpose of this meeting is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions to staff and obtain clarification of the requirements of the proposal document and tour the facility. Because Oconee County considers such a meeting to be critical to understanding the proposal requirements, attendance at the pre-submittal meeting is mandatory to qualify as an offeror.
