Description: INVITATION TO BIDDERS The City of Sweetwater is taking sealed bids for a new Fire Station Facility. Bid documents are available at Lellyett & Rogers Co. at 440 Walnut Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. Ph: 865-544-7649. These are available for the cost which will be set by L&R. Bids will be taken until June 1st, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. and will be opened in a public board meeting on June 22nd at 5:00 p.m. The winning contractor will be notified at a later date and pre-construction meeting will be set at that time. Non-Mandatory pre-bid meeting is set for April 28th, 2015 at 2pm at City of Sweetwater: City Hall. There will be no permit fee. Contractor will be required to pull the permit and comply with all inspections. The state will require an electrical permit through SUB, which will have a fee. The plans are currently submitted to the state fire marshal’s office and are subject to changes from their review. Bids will not be awarded until plans are approved by the state fire marshal’s office. All sections of the contract documents will be required to be completed, including section 00900 Title VI Certification and a certificate of insurance naming the City of Sweetwater as an additional insured be provided with the bid.
