Description: Jasper County is soliciting bids from licensed inspectors to perform comprehensive asbestos inspections prior to the demolition of approximately 34 privately owned vacant, dilapidated houses and/or commercial structures in the Church Stiney (West Hardeeville) Neighborhood just outside of Hardeeville, South Carolina. The houses are of moderate size, averaging less than 1,500 square feet, and are located in a concentrated target area within the County.   The commercial structures are relatively small as well.  We intend to have all the units inspected at one time in an effort to minimize travel expenses.  This work is part of a grant project funded by SC Department of Commerce. The bidder must geographically be reasonably proximate to the sites.  The firm must hold all applicable state and federal licenses to perform the testing as well as any necessary monitoring during the removal of asbestos.
