It is the intent of the City to promote, protect, and improve the health, safety and welfare of its citizens by appointing an impartial Code Enforcement Special Magistrate with the authority to conduct hearings related to the enforcement of the City of Fort Walton Beach Code of Ordinances, Land Development Code, and other adopted ordinances in order to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing the codes and ordinances of the City.
