Question 1

Posted: 3/24/2025

Question: Is it possible to schedule pre bid site visits at each location? I would like to include surveying Fire Alarm System Control Panels, Fire Alarm Releasing Control Panels, Backflow Devices, Fire Pumps, and Sprinkler Systems. I DO NOT need to see each and every extinguisher, to be clear. Page 42 of the ITQ; under Response Document #16: Bid Response Sheet ITQ AP 34-25; I noticed that Kitchen Hoods, and FM200/FM400 Systems are listed however I don't see them listed on Page 5 in the system list labeled Airports Departments Fire Protection Equipment Sites. If these systems exist I would like to include them in the survey. I have availability on: April 4th April 14th April 16th April 21st

Response: The Airports Department will schedule a non-mandatory site visit for potential respondents on Friday, April 4th at 9:30am at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport, 1701 State Road 85 North, Eglin AFB, FL 32542. Tour will commence from the Airport Administration Offices and Patrick “Jamie” Milton, Airports Maintenance Supervisor, will be the POC for the site visit. As for the kitchen hoods and FM200/FM400 Systems, the Airport does not have either/any of these items and it will be removed from the listing on page 42 of the ITQ.

Is there a fire extinguisher inspection report with the VPS airport fire extinguishers listed available?

Question 5

Posted: 4/8/2025

Question: I have several questions. 1. Are the fire pumps diesel or electric? 2. Will you verify that the fire pump at Bob Sikes Airport is the only pump that requires weekly testing and the other two fire pumps listed on the ITQ will only be tested annually? 3. Will previous annual fire alarm and fire sprinkler inspection reports be provided for the following Destin FWB Airport locations: Airport Car Rental, Airport Cargo Building, Car Fuel Site, and Main Building? 4. Will you verify that fire alarm monitoring and duress alarm monitoring are not included in the scope of work for this ITQ? 5. On page 43 of the ITQ, will you clarify what "Low Down of Entire System" is referring to? 6. On page 43 of the ITQ, will you clarify what "Airports Departments Fire Alarm Monitoring Inspections" is referring to? 7. Question: An FM-200 system and kitchen hoods are listed under the equipment items on page 4 of the airport contract; however, these systems were not observed during the recent fire equipment tour. I am writing to request formal confirmation that these items are not included in the scope of work for any of the bids related to VPS, Destin Airport, or Bob Sikes facilities, and that they are not expected to be serviced under the terms of this agreement.  Also asking to confirm that no fire alarm system monitoring services are expected at either airport per this agreement as this item is also listed on page 4. We would also like to verify Fire sprinkler fire pump runs are requested as part of this agreement and would like to verify the run intervals requested.  Weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually pump runs at each facility?
