Description: Beaufort County Public Works Solid Waste and Recycling is soliciting proposals for an annual maintenance agreement to service and repair County-owned waste compactors and compactor receiver containers. Beaufort County Public Works Solid Waste and Recycling operates four (4) Convenience Centers where twenty (20) waste compactors and thirty-six (36) 40-yard trach compactor receiver containers are located for receiving and hauling trash and recycled cardboard. The thirty-three (36) 40-yard waste compactor receiver’s containers are interchangeable and are used at the four (4) Convenience Center to house waste for hauling. Sixteen (16) compactor receiver containers are used to change out compactor receiver containers when the others are ready for hauling and are staged at one of the four (4) Convenience Centers when not in use.
