Response: All vendors who are able to meet the requirements of the RFP will be considered.
Question 2

Question: The Proposal Submittals Checklist includes a Proposal Bond of 5% of Proposal. Does Hazelwood require a proposal bond for non-construction related RFPs? Is upload via the online portal sufficient?
Response: A proposal bond will not be required for this RFP.
Question 3
Posted: 3/21/2023
Question: Can you provide the approximate numbers or buddget associated with this contract? Otherwise, we are unsure how to calculate 5% of the total contract for the proposal bond based on the request for a pricing schedule of per student and per instructor costs.
Response: A proposal bond will not be required for this RFP.

Question: In what capacity do your teachers and students use Google Suite?
Response: The district utilizes Google Suite as a primary tool.

Question: Regarding scope, how many students are in each grade level? What is the total number of full-time virtual students that would need this program in Grades 9-12?
Response: There are approximately 1200 students in each grade level across the district. This program is for virtual classroom instruction, not full-time virtual students.
Question 6
Posted: 3/22/2023
Question: Can the school district expand on its definitions of blended learning, online learning and fully virtual solutions?
Response: For the purposes of the RFP, the district is defining blended, online, and virtual learning as a teaching process which will utilize a virtual, off-site, live instructor providing course delivery to a classroom while the students are in-person at a district school and supervised by an in-classroom facilitator. The daily process may differ based on the course subject or material, but the class will always be instructed by the virtual teacher with the presence of the in-classroom facilitator.

Posted: 3/22/2023
Question: Is there any potential scenario where a student may just need one or two virtual classes outside school hours to get ahead, or take a class not offered by the school, or complete a credit recovery version? Or does the district envision only a model of synchronous, live, virtually-delivered in-class lesson every day for a classroom group of students?
Response: The RFP anticipates synchronous, live, virtually-delivered lessons every day for a classroom.
Question 8
Posted: 3/22/2023
Question: Is this bid intended to gain access to a pool of teachers to move from temp to permanent staffing? OR Is this bid designed in part to create a tool for permanent staff placement?
