Description: Sealed PROPOSALS will be received by Okeechobee County Commissioners at the Okeechobee County Historic Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, FL 34972 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday July 2, 2025. Bids will be received on the first floor, Room 123, and publicly opened in Room 201 and read aloud. Any BIDS received after the time specified will not be accepted.

The BID shall be based on the following:

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Okeechobee County Fire Rescue has been awarded grant funding from the Community Development Block Grant Program Agreement No:IO173 for the building hardening of Fire Rescue Station #1 and Fire Rescue Station #2. The County is currently entertaining submittals and interviewing qualified firms for the specified grant improvements at these two essential locations. These grant dollars shall be used to replace all non-impact glass windows at each station as well as the full replacement of all commercial apparatus bay doors and openers to meet Miami Dade N.O.A and the grant specified 185 mph wind load.
Bidders shall submit pricing based off the specifications below and then shall be interviewed by a selection committee. This project shall be awarded to the company who is deemed most competent and meets all criteria of the above-named grants and qualifications as notated in bid documents. As this project is funded by two separate grants, each station shall be invoiced separately.
