Question: Section I Design 2.2.2 Conflicting information: the spec’s design signal loads does not have backplates. 2.2.2.1 Conflicting information: the spec’s design signal loads does not have backplates. 2.2.2.2 The compact pole loadings should note a 4-a-bolt design. Also note the size and spacing of the street name sign. 2.2.27 Will a clamp on lum arm or clamp on simplex be allowed? This will allow for field adjustments for orientation and mounting heights. Pole Shaft 4.5 - If backplates are required, the pole diameter will be affected. 4.10.1 Will a clamp on lum arm or clamp on simplex be allowed? This will allow for field adjustments for orientation and mounting heights. Hand holes 4.7.1 Confirmation that a terminal compartment is not wanted. VDOT spec is a hinged cover and we use a keyed lock 4.7.1 If HH cover is opposite of longest arm this will require an additional upright design for twin arm categories. (the pole is designed for the max arm length) Anchor Bolts 6.1 The compact pole loadings should note a 4-a-bolt design. Section II Deliverable 2.1 Reason for both PDF & AutoCad format? Design Drawings 2.a Reason for both PDF & AutoCad format? 2.a.i.1 Conflict- differences between Arlington Co. spec compared to VDOT.

Question: In Section III, Agreement & Contract T&C - Number 6 states that the contract amount/unit pricing will remain firm until Oct. 1, 2024 ("Price Adjustment Date") with work commencing on November 1, 2022. This is two years. Is this correct or should the pricing be firm for one year? Suppliers are not willing to hold pricing for even a year at this time.

Response: This is correct and should be priced into the bid.
