Description:
The City of Sweetwater Tennessee is taking sealed bids for the paving of
Mahala Rd inside Sweetwater. Bid
specifications are available at the Recorder’s office, City Hall, 203 Monroe
Street, Sweetwater, TN 37874 or by
emailing jmorgan@sweetwatertn.net. Bids will be taken until Friday, September
18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Bids will be
opened by Committee. Bids will be
presented and likely awarded on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. during
the workshop of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners.

Paving 2020 Mahala Rd
The City of
Asphalt paving of the below listed street section. Bid should include pricing for 1 ½ inch e-mix
(topping). The sections will be prepped
for paving with necessary excavation, stone, and grade work. City Crews to do grinding on curbs and
manholes. Asphalt should be 1.5 inches
thick.
Please provide pricing for the following project:
Mahala Road from E. North Street to Edgewood Drive
All work shall be arranged through the City of Sweetwater
Recorder and in coordination with the Street Superintendent. Work shall be completed within 90 days from
date when bid is awarded.
This project will require a pre-construction meeting once
the bid has been awarded.

The bid must be received in the office no later than the bid
deadline. Postmark will not be accepted.
Bids will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September
18, 2020.
Payment from the City of Sweetwater will be made upon
completion of work.

Any deviations from these specifications.
One year warranty for all work from date of completion.
Price for each section and a complete price for all sections
Three references for prior city/county work completed in the
past 3 years
Prior to beginning construction, the successful bidder will
be required to provide a Title VI certification statement; a completed W-9
form; and provide a copy of a fully executed current Certificate of Insurance. For
