Description:
The Ashcraft Road Dirt Road Paving and Drainage Project includes the paving of an existing 1.24-mile dirt road in northwestern Escambia County, in the Bratt community. Ashcraft Road connects County Highway 99 to Bratt Road.
The new asphalt roadway will include two 11-foot drive lanes along with the associated drainage improvements. Proposed drainage improvements include sodded swales, roadway cross-drain replacement and storm drain piping.
Utility relocation will be required for the existing EREC potable water main, and EREC utility poles, as well as Frontier Communications buried telephone lines.
Required permitting will include an NPDES permit as well as an FDEP ERP General Permit.
An additive Alternate is included as part of this project to upgrade the existing 3” potable waterline to a 6” PVC line. The alternate includes approximately 6,500 LF of 6” PVC watermain along with the required appurtenances. EREC will provide all materials required for waterline construction. The contractor will be required to provide the labor and equipment required for installation and coordinate all efforts with EREC personnel.
