Description: The City of White House, Tennessee, is requesting qualifications and letters of interest for TDOT pre-approved engineering services for the SR-41/US-31W Sidewalk/Pedestrian Phase II (PIN 121872.00) project in the City of White House and under the Active Transportation Grant and Local Programs Development Office (LPDO) of the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). TDOT funding has been secured, a formal contract with TDOT has been signed, and the City has been issued a Notice to Proceed with the Preliminary Engineering for the Environmental Phase. The funding for this project is $2.15 million ($2,147,806) Local/State/Federal. All phases of this project must adhere to TDOT LPDO policy or the funding will be subject to forfeit. The SR-41/US-31W Sidewalk/Pedestrian Phase II will include sidewalk related improvements to a 0.75 mile section of SR-41/US-31W to include bike and pedestrian facilities and to complete a loop connection for the City’s 3.5 mile greenway system. Phase I was completed in April of 2015 and Phase II will begin at the end of Phase I and continue north along the route with a new 8 foot wide shared use concrete sidewalk path.
