Description:
The City of Beaufort (City), South Carolina, is requesting bids from qualified licensed manufactures and suppliers for the purchase of a Man-Lift primarily for use in the installation of hurricane shutters as needed in the case of an event. When the City of Beaufort is threatened by a tropical storm system, staff from the Public Works Department will utilize the man-lift for installation and removal of hurricane shutters to two historical buildings, the Beaufort Arsenal and Carnegie Building. The equipment to be purchased is a 2 or 4-wheel drive operational, self-propelled “manlift” with a vertical platform height capacity of at least 65 feet and platform weight capacity of at least 500 pounds.
