Spalding County is in the west-central part of Georgia and encompasses 201 square miles. Bordered by Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Butts, Lamar, Pike, and Meriwether counties, Spalding County lies 40 miles south of downtown Atlanta and 55 miles northwest of Macon. Spalding County is a part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The unincorporated area of Spalding County has approximately 15,339 single family homes, 2,228 single family mobile homes, 119 quadraplexes, 35 buildings eight units total, 8 buildings 53 units total (mixed unit count 4-6), 8 buildings 72 units total (mixed unit count 4-6).
