Description: The City of Framingham (the "City") is issuing a request for proposals (RFP) to qualified entities seeking to act as an insurance broker of record for the City with respect to the City's insurance coverage and certain related matters. The City will award one contract to a single broker of record. The award will be made to a proposer who meets the scope of services, qualifications, and general description of work activities. Bidders must provide a copy of their active Massachusetts Resident Business Entity, and Residential Individual Property & Casualty Producer Licenses.

The broker awarded with the business will also be responsible for the following (included but not limited to):

• Reviewing for accuracy and delivery of issued policies.
• Verification of all invoices and allocation of premiums, working with the City’s Treasurer.
• Provision of an annual report including insurance schedules, policy summaries, review of past year’s activities and outlook for coming year.
• Assisting the City in reviewing insurance requirements in City contracts with vendors.
• Providing insurance certificates as needed.
• Facilitating the processing of transactions with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

This RFP is not an authorization to approach the insurance marketplace or service agencies on behalf of the City of Framingham. Proposers are specifically directed that no contact and/or solicitation of insurance markets be made on behalf of the City until authorized to do so. Failure to comply with this condition will result in disqualification.
