Question: Are bid bond, performance bond and payment bond required for this project?

Response: Bid bond is not required. Performance bond and payment bonds are if the cost is over 50k.

Question: 1) Has the existing roof been tested for hazardous containing materials? 2) Are we to bid as if there is no HCM’s in the existing roofing materials? 3) Is a painted 24 GA coping cap acceptable? 4) Section 3 should have a warranty, if so, the leaks should be repaired under warranty. 5) Repairs cannot be warranted because there is no way to know if the HVAC unit/curb or the roof is leaking. 6) Is a mechanically attached option acceptable? 7) Shouldn’t there be unit costs included on the bid form for repair and/or replacement of deteriorated steel roof deck?

Response: 1. No, 2. Yes. 3. Must be as it relates to specs in section III, 4. section 3 specs states what the county is requesting. 5. see section III. 6. see section III, 7. you may add that to your bid documents.
