Type of Addition: ADDENDUM 1: QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Overview: This Addendum No. 1 to RFP 2025-115 is issued by the City of Beaufort Finance Department. Except as modified by this addendum, all areas of the RFP not specifically mentioned in or affected by this addendum, shall remain unchanged.
1. Can you confirm the work that shall be conducted on weekends? As stated in the Scope of Work; All maintenance that requires machinery will be conducted on weekends and include mowing, blowing, edging, weed eating, spraying/mulching (if machine is used). Maintenance work that does not require the use of machinery can be done during the week.
2. Will a cashier’s check be accepted in place of the bid bond? Yes. A cashier’s check equal to 10% of the 1-year bid price will be accepted in lieu of a bid bond.
3. Are there requirements for seasonal color/flowers? See the ornamental maintenance in Attachment A.
4. Is tree maintenance required for palm trees over 20 feet high? Yes, all palm trees regardless of height within the project area shall be pruned a minimum of two times per year to remove dead fronds and seed pods.
5. Is there a GIS map for the sites? See GIS location maps exhibits 1A & 1B.
6. Are subcontractors required to have a City business license? All contractors are required to follow the City of Beaufort business licenses requirements.
7. What is the regular meeting schedule? Schedules and reports are submitted weekly, regular meetings are held monthly.
8. Will the city consider extending the due date for proposals? The due date for proposals and bid opening date are extended to Thursday, May, 8 at 3:00 PM.
All Bidders shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this addendum by signing in the space provided in the RFP Signature Page. Bids submitted without this Addendum may be considered non-responsive.
