Description: The Jackson County Board of Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids for a wood and debris grinding service contract for the Jackson County Solid Waste Department until Tuesday,
September 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM. At that time, the sealed bids will be opened and read in the Finance Director’s Conference Room of the Jackson County Administrative Building at 67 Athens
Street, Jefferson, Georgia 30549. Bids received after the due date and time will not be accepted or considered. 


One original and three copies of the bid must be submitted. A 5% bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be
required if the contract is awarded. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required to inspect the material to be handled, prior to submitting a bid, by a deadline date of Tuesday, August 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM. Bidders must schedule a visit with either Lucy Miller or Tom Page, at the site, and prior to visiting are required to provide their contact information to Tom by calling 706-387-6419 or by email at tpage@jacksoncountygov.com or Lucy at 706-387-6422 or by email at lmiller@jacksoncountygov.com. Bidders who do not visit will not be considered for the job award.

706-367-6309. Jackson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award the bid based on the highest and best interest of Jackson County.
