Description:

The City of Murfreesboro, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, seeks to retain the services of a professional consultant engineering firm to provide services related to construction of Phase 2 of the Mercury Boulevard Sidewalk Project. The project proposal is to install sidewalks along both sides of Mercury Boulevard within the project limits from Middle Tennessee Boulevard to Apollo Drive. The project length is approximately 3,650 feet, thus entails approximately 7,300 ft of ADA compliant constructed sidewalk. The project will also upgrade existing signalized intersections to accommodate pedestrian by installing  pedestrian push buttons, pedestrian signals and markings. The project shall be accomplished in accordance with TDOT Local Programs guidelines since portions of the project are federally funded.  The professional consultant engineering consulting firm must be on TDOT’s pre-approved list or have a completed pre-qualification form filed with TDOT by the deadline for the Letters of Interest. The prequalified firm must have unlimited status.  Responsibilities of the professional consultant firm include, but are not limited to:

  • PE-DESIGN
  • UTILITY COORDINATION
  • ROW (NO ROW IS ANTICIPATED)
  • CONTRUCTION ENGINEERING INSPECTON (CEI)

 

Estimated Schedule for Performance of Work

 

  • Complete Preliminary Design NEPA Phase Summer 2019
  • Complete Final Design & Utility Coordination Spring 2020
  • Complete Construction Phase Spring 2021
