ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Quincy will receive sealed Bids for QUINCY REGIONAL AIRPORT – TERMINAL BUILDING FOUNDATION SETTLEMENT REPAIRS (AIR161) until 11:00 AM on the 27th day of September 2023, at the office of City Clerk, Suite #129, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately afterwards in the City Council Chambers, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301 for the following project.

QUINCY REGIONAL AIRPORT – TERMINAL BUILDING FOUNDATION SETTLEMENT REPAIRS

Work description: The proposed improvement includes but is not limited to the following Work at the City of Quincy’s Regional Airport located at 1645 Highway 104, Quincy, IL 62305.
• Stabilize the terminal building foundation wall by furnishing and installing 8 helical piers.
• Replacement and repairs to damaged terminal building facilities.

The Contract Documents will be available for inspection and at the City of Quincy Department of Utilities and Engineering, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301 and available for download free of charge at: www.quincyil.gov.

Bidders will be required to provide Bid security equal to five (5) percent of the Bid in the form of a Bid Bond written by a company properly licensed in Illinois, a certified check or a cashier’s check. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond on forms provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price.

The City of Quincy, in accordance with the Laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that the City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive minor informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding information contained in a bid. The City will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to a responsible and responsive Bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin, but the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids received and to waive formalities.

Bids may be held by the City of Quincy for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.

Bids shall be received in a sealed envelope addressed to: City of Quincy, City Clerk, Suite #129, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, IL 62301, which is marked in the lower left-hand corner EXACTLY as follows:
