Description: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids for the NEW STORAGE BUILDING, CITY OF QUINCY – CENTRAL SERVICES project in the City of Quincy, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 AM local time, Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The project consists of a new 60'-0" x 140'-0" pre-engineered metal storage building with overhead doors, standard doors, concrete flooring, unit heaters and a sprinkler system. Some demolition of the existing concrete paving is required. Site work includes aggregate paving and utility extensions.

Plans and specifications are available online at www.quincyil.gov/bids and may be examined at the office of the Department of Utilities & Engineering, City Hall, 730 Maine Street, Quincy, Illinois 62301.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
