Question: Since this bid seems to be primarily for school buses, can vendors submit alternate proposals for smaller capacity vehicles such as minivans, SUVs, and sedans just in case school buses are not available or if there’s a student that’s better serviced in a smaller capacity vehicle? Having this flexible, cost effective, as-needed option has been helpful for nearby school districts and it could likely benefit Adelanto ESD.

Question: RFP Page 6, Section 1.14 Proposed Contract states, “The Proposer's attention is directed particularly to Section 18, Insurance in the Contract, which specifies the minimum insurance requirements that shall be met by the successful Proposer(s).” However, Section 18, Insurance is not provided. Could the District please provide a copy of the Insurance requirements that shall be met by the successful Proposer?

Question: Requirement 4.6 reads that, “the system shall be installed so that location is demarcated each time the main service door is opened or closed.” In our system, GPS tracking is in real-time and trip arrival/completion is handled via the driver’s tablet. Is this approach acceptable?

While all of our buses have ample camera coverage, they may not be in this specific number or configuration. Question: We unfortunately do not have any school buses available at the moment so we were wondering if Adelanto SD will allow bids with pricing for minivans, SUV’s, and sedans? The smaller capacity vehicle option is flexible and as needed till we have school buses available later on. Most districts allow bids for these types of services to help supplements school buses while they’re in short supply.
