Response: This is a new building. No students present.

Question: Training- What is required for this project? How many attendees and hours?
Response: There should only need to be training if you are offering something other than S2 and AiPhone. If you propose a different system, then you specify what training you would offer.

Response: No existing system

Question: Is there any conduit work that will be required for this installation? If so can you please elaborate on exact locations and approximate footages? a. Can you please provide us the estimated number of Wall Penetrations/Fire wall penetrations that would be needed for this project? b. Will there be any MDF / IDF Wall Penetrations or sleeves needed for this project? c. Will be there by any Conduit at Door locations needed for this project? If yes how many doors would require it & would this need to be provided by us or others?
Response: All penetrations are covered under Electrical Contractor.

Question: Will the site require a lift? If so can you please provide us with the type of lift (Size) that would work? Or if it is easier can you please provide us with the ceiling heights of areas that will require a lift?

Question: Will this site require the awarded bidder to provide a Georgia LVT Permit from the Local AHJ?
Response: I don't see anything in the RFP requiring it but anyone in GA engaging in low voltage cabling installation is required by state law to have a licensed person on staff to at least oversee the projects.

Can you please provide us with the (Quantity) & (Exact location) of 6.3.2B – STI-13240CB Blue Pull Station Cover w/o horn? c. Can you please provide us with the (Quantity) & (Exact location) of 6.3.2C – FM-998 Door Holders w/ Magnets?
Response: Please review the image in the folder in 6.1.8. I have updated the image with one that include the MDF, IDF, Pull stations. You should be able to determine QTY based on that document.

Question: iii. Expectations / Operation of all locations listed in Blue (Lock Down & Card Reader) 1. Can you please provide the operation of how the double door will work on this lockdown? a. (Do you want a Door Contact on both Doors?) 2. Can you please list the operation function of the Single doors for this lockdown? 3. Can you please list exact counts for the lock downs on this project? b. Can you please provide us with customer expectations on where the S2 head end equipment & Power Supplies will be placed / installed (MDF/IDF’s) to accommodate all doors listed for this project? We will need to know this to be able to come up with the cabling footages.
Response: S2 controller and power supplies must be located in the MDF unless OEM cable distance specification are exceeded. If your proposal exceeds your proposed cable limits please propose an alternate location in the nearest IDF.

Response: The strikes will be provided by the door hardware contractor. Correct the AIPhone was in another Bid.

Question: Does WCSD require per this RFP the awarded bidder as part of their Scope to handle creating & adding the entire database cardholder entry & assigning all of the required schedules into the new S2 Access Control software? If the answer is yes how many cardholders & how many different schedules will the awarded bidder be required to add to the new S2 database?
Response: We have a server that maintains all badges and allocations. You will be responsible for adding all door access locations to the new system and modifying anything needed to make them functional. WCS technology dept will assist where needed.
