Description: A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, 28 June 2023 at the Spalding County Courthouse Annex Building, 119 E. Solomon Street, Room 108, Griffin, Georgia, 30223. All attendees will be required to sign in, and the resultant list will denote those allowed to submit a Bid for the project. After an initial presentation by County Staff and the Engineer/Architect, a visit will be made to the project site at the corner of 3rd Street and Jefferson Street during which time Bidders will be allowed to tour the facility and become familiar with the existing conditions.
The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows:
The project consists of but is not limited to the Renovation of the 7,972 sq.ft Heritage Park Gymnasium and includes selective site demolition, new utilities with connections to municipal services, new grading/drainage, new storm sewer systems, new concrete sidewalks, selective demolition of building components, new foundations, new slab on grade, new load bearing CMU/Structural Steel/Cold Formed Steel Roof Framing, new metal framed stairs, pointing/repair/painting of existing masonry veneers, new exterior window/door systems, new roof/fascia/eave systems, new building insulation, new interior CMU walls, new interior floor/base/wall/ceiling finishes, new, new interior architectural millwork, new interior doors, new interior accessories/equipment, new plumbing fixture/piping systems, new HVAC/ductwork systems, new primary/secondary/general electrical distribution systems, new lighting systems and fire alarm devices/systems.
Bidding Documents/Project Manual must be obtained by prospective Bidders at the Issuing Office: Paragon Consulting Group, Inc., 350 Airport Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224, 770-412-7700.
In order to obtain a complete set of printed Bidding Documents/Project Manual and be on record as an Official Bidder, the Prospective Bidder shall provide a copy of current Commercial General Contractor’s License as issued by the State of Georgia together with non-refundable payment of $300.00. In order to obtain a complete set of electronic set of Bidding Documents/Project Manual and be on record as an Official Bidder, the Prospective Bidder shall provide a copy of current Commercial General Contractor’s License as issued by the State of Georgia together with non-refundable payment of $75.00. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications. The OWNER is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents/Project Manual from the Issuing Office.
