Question 1

Posted: 3/19/2024

Question: Would it be ok if I sent Boelter’s field supervisor to each of the locations I have a few questions on? I want to confirm hinging on the locations (including the schools we didn’t visit). There were also a couple of units that have the “ventless” option specified but they were under a hood. The ventless option is very expensive so I want to confirm if each location really needs it. After our review of the locations I will submit the questions through Vendor Registry.

Response: We did not visit South East Middle School and West Middle School - the oven set up at each of those locations is identical to the one at Central MS. If you would like to submit specific questions and the location, we can provide the information to you.

Question 2

Posted: 3/19/2024

Question: Please confirm if the "ventless hood option" is required at Brown, Jury, Larimore, Keeven, McCurdy, Russell, Townsend and Twillman. Any combi that is already under a hood would not need the ventless option.

Response: Brown Yes, but non-functional McCurdy No Larimore Yes - functional Townsend No – only exhaust vent Twillman No – only exhaust vent Jury No Russell No Keeven No

Question 3

Posted: 3/20/2024

Question: According to the local St Louis based ASA (Authorized Service Agent) "Larimore is the only location under a functioning hood, but that hood is too small and would not provide sufficient capture. This location and all others will need the ventless accessory." I am not entirely clear based on the answer to question #2 whether the proposal should have the ventless hood for each location?

Response: The bid contains a line item for a Model 7-20EVH Ventech Type I Hood with Condensation for each of the elementary schools.

Question 4

Posted: 3/20/2024

Question: Is it a requirement that the ASA that is used on these installations, be certified by Alto Shaam in the St Louis Missouri, market? And is the certified installer responsible for turn-key installation including all necessary rough-ins? Or will the School District provide separate contractors to provide the rough-ins to the locations needed for ASA installation?

Response: The installer needs to be an Alto Shaam Authorized Service Agent per the Service Agent search on Alto-shaam.com. Installer will be responsible for all necessary rough-ins.

Question 5

Posted: 3/21/2024

Question: Is it requirement to use Union labor for installation of this project?

Response: Contractors are required to comply with prevailing wage.
