The New Era Migrant Head Start, 3656 West Grant Road, New Era, Oceana County, MI 49446 is in need of painting metal exterior doors and previously painted frame areas.
Building floor plan is attached indicating exterior door locations. It is the contractor’s responsibility to count and measure doors and frames for accurate measurements.
? Furnish labor and material to prep and paint metal exterior doors and previously painted frame areas, including rust removal.
o Both sides of each door are to be painted.
? Painters are to be experienced to ensure quality workmanship results.
? Thoroughly clean doors and frames prior to prime and painting.
? If primer is separate from paint, allow to dry 24 hours prior to painting.
? Apply two coats of paint, not one thick layer.
? Paint and primer must be specifically designated by manufacturer for use on metal exterior doors and frame areas.
? Paint used must be lead-free and meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations for child-occupied facilities.
? Paint to be child-safe with washable finish.
? Provide product specifications, guarantees and warranties.
? Prevent paint-spray or paint drift into building.
? Paint splatters and drips are to be removed; any paint mistakes are to be corrected.
? Report any rusted hardware (hinges, etc.) that need to be replaced.
? Match original door and previously painted frame colors. Door and frame colors are faded; contact the owner’s representative, Property Coordinator, for original colors.
? Provide product specifications, guarantees and warranties on materials and workmanship.
? Proposal will include separate pricing for each door and frame set.
? Provide all necessary materials and labor to complete job.
? Contractor responsible for repair of any building damage as a result of work performed.
? Contractor to pay for costs of any required permits and application fees.
